BIBLE, DANIEL 7:7

A beast will be dreadful and terrible and strong exceedingly and have iron teeth. It will be different then all the beasts (worldly kingdoms) that were before it.

7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.

BIBLE, DANIEL 7:7-8

A beast that has ten horns and a little horn comes among them.

8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

BIBLE, DANIEL 7:8

Of the ten horns, three are plucked up by the roots by the little horn that has eyes like a man and a mouth that speaks great things.

8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

BIBLE, DANIEL 7:9

The little horn will cast down all thrones and nations.

9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.

BIBLE, DANIEL 7:20

Of the ten horns, three fell by the little horn that has a mouth that speaks very great things.

20 And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.

BIBLE, DANIEL 7:21

The little horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them (Rev 17:12, 1 Nephi 14:13).

21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;

BIBLE, DANIEL 7:21-2

The little horn will make war with the saints and will prevail against them; UNTIL Adam-ondi-Ahman.

The Hebrew Lexicon has a little better translation of this verse: "The Horn that made war with His holy ones and prevailed over them until came the Ancient of Days."

21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;
22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

BIBLE, DANIEL 7:23

The fourth beast is given power over ALL the earth. He shall devour the earth and tread it down and break it in pieces. He'll have power over all nations.

23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

BIBLE, DANIEL 7:24

The ten horns are ten kings. Another king (the little horn) shall rise after the ten and shall subdue three kings.

24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

BIBLE, DANIEL 7:25

The little horn will have power over the world for three and one-half years. He shall wear out the saints and think to change times and laws.

25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

BIBLE, DANIEL 8:23-5

In a time of PEACE, a king of fierce countenance (the little horn) will destroy many.

23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.
24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

BIBLE, REV 13:1

The beast is in the likeness of the kingdoms of the earth. This beast has seven heads and ten horns. (Inspired version)

1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

BIBLE, REV 13:1-2

Satan gives power, his seat, and great authority to a beast that has ten horns and seven heads.

1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

BIBLE, REV 13:11-12

A beast that is perceived as a lamb (peaceful) speaks as a dragon and exercises all the power of the first beast and causes all the earth to worship the first beast.

11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

BIBLE, REV 13:13-14

The beast doeth great wonders and causes fire (nuclear?) to come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of man. The beast tells all to worship the first beast.

13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

BIBLE, REV 13:15-17

Those who won't worship the image of the beast will be put to death. All who don't receive a mark on their right hand or forehead cannot buy or sell.

15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

BIBLE, REV 13:18

The number of the beast is 666. This is a number of a man.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

BIBLE, REV 13:3,12

One of the heads or rulers was wounded to death and his deadly wound is healed by the beast. (communism is thought to be dead and is resurrected by the little horn?)

3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

BIBLE, REV 13:4-5

The heads of the beast will worship the dragon and the beast. The beast will speak great things and will continue for three and one-half years.

4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

BIBLE, REV 13:8

All that dwell upon the earth shall worship the beast except for those whose names are written in the book of the life of the lamb.

8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

BIBLE, REV 17:12

The ten horns represent ten kings which will receive power for one hour (41.6 years) with the beast.

12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

BIBLE, REV 17:13-14

The ten horns (kingdoms) will be of one mind and will give their power to the beast. The ten horns will make war with the Lamb, but the Lord will overcome.

13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

BIBLE, REV 19:20

At the second coming the beast and the false prophet that deceived the people to receive a mark and worship the image of the beast will be cast to Hell.

20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

BIBLE, REV 20:4

Those who will not worship the beast or his image, or receive his mark on their foreheads will be beheaded. But will rise during the first resurrection.

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

BM, ETHER 8:24-25

Awake to a sense of your awful situation, because of this secret combination which shall be among you which seeketh to overthrow the freedom of all lands, nations and countries.

24 Wherefore, the Lord commandeth you, when ye shall see these things come among you that ye shall awake to a sense of your awful situation, because of this secret combination which shall be among you; or wo be unto it, because of the blood of them who have been slain; for they cry from the dust for vengeance upon it, and also upon those who built it up.
25 For it cometh to pass that whoso buildeth it up seeketh to overthrow the freedom of all lands, nations, and countries; and it bringeth to pass the destruction of all people, for it is built up by the devil, who is the father of all lies; even that same liar who beguiled our first parents, yea, even that same liar who hath caused man to commit murder from the beginning; who hath hardened the hearts of men that they have murdered the prophets, and stoned them, and cast them out from the beginning.

CR, ET BENSON APR:1972

Now undoubtedly Moroni could have pointed out many factors that led to the destruction of the people, but notice how he singled out the secret combinations (Ether 8:21), just as the Church today could point out many threats to peace, prosperity, and the spread of God's work, but it has singled out as the greatest threat the Godless conspiracy. There is no conspiracy theory in the Book of Mormon—it is a conspiracy fact.

CR, ET BENSON OCT:1961

The world-wide secret conspiracy which has risen up in our day to fulfil these prophecies (Ether 8:24-25) is easily identified. President McKay has left no room for doubt as to what attitude Latter-day Saints should take toward the modern "secret combinations" of conspiratorial communism. In a lengthy statement on communism, he said:

CR, ET BENSON OCT:1988

A secret combination that seeks to overthrow the freedom of all lands, nations, and countries is INCREASING its evil influence and control over America and the entire world. (See Ether 8:18-25.)

D&C, 116:1

When Daniel mentions that the beast and the little horn will last until when the Ancient of Days comes, he is referring to Adam when he comes to Adam-ondi-Ahman.

1 Spring Hill is named by the Lord Adam-ondi-Ahman, because, said he, it is the place where Adam shall come to visit his people, or the Ancient of Days shall sit, as spoken of by Daniel the prophet.

HC, J SMITH 3:389

Future Deliverance of the Saints.
The "Horn" made war with the Saints and overcame them, until the Ancient of Days came; judgment was given to the Saints of the Most High from the Ancient of Days; the time came that the Saints possessed the Kingdom. This not only makes us ministers here, but in eternity.

HC, J SMITH 5:342-45

I am now going to take exceptions to the present translation of the Bible in relation to these matters. Our latitude and longitude can be determined in the original Hebrew with far greater accuracy than in the English version. There is a grand distinction between the actual meaning of the prophets and the present translation. The prophets do not declare that they saw a beast or beasts, but that they saw the image or figure of a beast. Daniel did not see an actual bear or a lion, but the images or figures of those beasts. The translation should have been rendered "image" instead of "beast," in every instance where beasts are mentioned by the prophets. But John saw the actual beast in heaven, showing to John that beasts did actually exist there, and not to represent figures of things on the earth. When the prophets speak of seeing beasts in their visions, they mean that they saw the images, they being types to represent certain things. At the same time they received the interpretation as to what those images or types were designed to represent.
I make this broad declaration, that whenever God gives a vision or an usage, or beast, or figure of any kind, He always holds Himself responsible to give a revelation or interpretation of the meaning thereof, otherwise we are not responsible or accountable for our belief in it. Don't be afraid of being damned for not knowing the meaning of a vision or figure, if God has not given a revelation or interpretation of the subject.
